“Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is a quick and easy dish! Featuring a garlic buttery sauce with
a touch of white wine and lemon, it comes together in under 10 minutes!”

“Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is perfect as an appetizer or light meal, and it also makes a
wonderful dinner paired with your favorite pasta! For low-carb options, serve it over zucchini
noodles or alongside steamed cauliflower. No matter how you enjoy it, this dish is delicious
and even better than Scampi from an Italian restaurant!”

Ingredients:

● 4 tablespoons butter
● 2 tablespoons olive oil
● 1 ¼ pound shrimp large prawns, shelled with tails on or off
● 4-5 cloves garlic large, minced, or 1 ½ tablespoon minced garlic
● 1 pinch salt to taste
● 1 pinch cracked pepper to taste
● ¼ cup dry white wine or broth
● ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes crushed, or to taste – optional
● 2 tablespoons lemon juice
● ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped

Tips make the best shrimp scampi

● Make sure to have all your ingredients prepped and within reach on your kitchen
counter before you start cooking. This recipe cooks quickly, so you don’t want to be
rummaging through the fridge of your wine while the shrimp is on the stove.
Overcooked shrimp becomes rubbery and tough, making it far from enjoyable.

● The shrimp is cooked in a combination of butter and oil to prevent the butter from
burning. You can use only butter if you prefer, but be aware it will start to brown as
the shrimp cook. ( A touch of browned butter isn’t bad at all.) personally, I find the
flavor of a butter and oil mixture more appealing for this dish.

● I love using extra large or jumbo shrimp (or prawns) in this recipe! They’re plump,
juicy and perfect for a delicious shrimp scampi. Whenverpossible, opt for wild-caught
shrimp. They offer superior flavor, vibrant color, and are healthier compared to
farm-raised seafood.

● For this recipe, opt for a high-quality white wine. I prefer using a Sauvignon Blanc,
but a Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay would also work well.
